Too expensive?
It would be great if we have Moto GP and F1 in Olympics but the idea doesnt suit well with the IOC
Theyre not even among the 5 candidate sports to be added to the 2012 Olympics
It will take at least 10 more years (2020) before theyre included

the Olympics is all about the athletes in the world. Altho motor racing (I am a huge nascar fan!) is a sport, it does not involve being a good athlete, or even being in shape at all as evidenced by some of the drivers. It does take real talent though.

Jeez. It’s bad enough to see those damn cars going fast with rednecks driving them. Why in the hell would that qualify as an athletic event? Could they get enough beer bellies to watch?
