Alan A asked:
Well i think he should because he has proven to be a sucessful nascar race car driver. He is great in the road courses too considering that formula 1 is all road course races. He can be known worldwide if he decided to join F1. What do you think about this?

I think it would be interesting, but he’s too old for that now. He should stay in Nascar and try to become the greatest driver of the modern era.
June 18th 2009
No. He has already been asked and said no. He did come up in open wheel racing same as Tony Stewart and quite a few others.
June 21st 2009
I hope not, formula 1 is boring to me.

If it didn’t conflict with NASCAR, I’d love to see how he’d perform in that series. But it’ll never happen…..
By the way, he’s already known worldwide. Those F1 fans know who he is, they just hate to admit it.

why on earth would he do that …. maybe Jr. nation will have him exiled.
he has raced open wheeled cars and hes an American he likes hot rods.
June 26th 2009
No he has too much going on as it is!!!!!

I don’t think so, because your supposed to progress in your career, not get demoted. NASCAR is the wave baby. F1 racing is just in the shadows.
July 1st 2009
Yes. That way he’ll never beat Earnhardt and Petty’s record.
Plus all the whining Gordon fans will go over to the F1 section and we’ll all have peace once and for all.
July 1st 2009
He would only be an average driver at best there.Even with a good ride.
July 3rd 2009
Wouldn’t that be a pay cut? I think he is one of the few Nascar drivers that could do it. He is already very well known worldwide!!

Jeff Gordon is clearly a talented race car driver, and under other circumstances, he probably would do well in F1. However, JGo is now in his mid-thirties and that is way too old to be starting a F1 career. Had this been 30 to 40 years ago, that would not have been the case. He, like a few other Nascar drivers-Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr-may run in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the Grand American Road Racing Series, which is owned by Nascar, but it simply won’t happen for Jeff Gordon to go to F1.

If he were going to join formula 1 he should have done that a long time ago, he is too old…F1 is all about youth..Most of those guys are 22-32. Schumacher was 37 when he retired last yr, thats old for F1 drivers.. I think Jeff would have been great in F1, he is good on the road courses, but not now, he is just too old..
July 9th 2009
Not now. He is much too old for F1. Would have loved to see him 10 yrs ago though. In his book he seriously considered it but couldnt get a competitive ride which is so essential to success in F1. Would have loved to see Jeff V Michael though. Two fo the greatest race car drivers ever.

He had his chance with the BMW team and turned it down. He and Montoya swapped rides at the Indy road course back in 2003. They aired it on Speed Channel. After only 10 laps Jeff was less than a second off of what Montoya ran, while Montoya was horrible in the #24 car.
July 12th 2009
anything to get him out of Nasscar!
July 13th 2009
NO !!!!!!!!!! Of Course Not !!!!!!………….. We wouldn’t have nobody else to abuse !! lol… lol… lol
July 14th 2009
Yes, Get the rainbow fudge packer out of NASCAR
July 15th 2009
no. not just no, but HELL NO!!
July 18th 2009

July 21st 2009
