I was always wondering about this. Can you drive one of those cars on public streets and highways? The cars that you see in Formula 1 and GT2 racing. If not, then why is it illegal?

no, they aren’t street legal (street circuits being an exception)
they are too low down and cant clear speed bumps and no headlights, they are the big things that mean it cant, along with no horn, too powerful etc
plus what happens when it rains? they don’t come with roofs

No cat. converter, so they will probably fail emissions. I agree they are not street legal.

No lights, no licence plates, no horn (a legal requirement),illegal tyres, too low. They would be uncontrollable at 40- 50 mph speed limits any way (no tyre heat and no room to swerve and keep them warm) and the pot holes in the roads would break the suspension, not to mention every part of the engine would have to be rebuilt every week.
Just go for a Mosler, there’s even enough room for a slice of bread and an egg in the trunk.

If you are allowed to by the authorities (for a special event), you need to make sure you have adequate tyres and suspension for a public road, so higher up suspension for bumps, for example. It’s been done over the world, ytou can search the web for it, for example…
