I’m a Robby Gordon fan and was curious what he really needs to be a winner? Would a different car help?

i’ve noticed the Formula 1 people come here and try to “badwrap” NASCAR, and the NASCAR fans seem so gracious as not to offend these people. And if you try to ask/answer questions in the Formula 1 section, you have to deal with sarcastic responses. Or is it the small amount of activity that goes on in Formula 1 that makes their fans upset about NASCARs popularity?

Well i think he should because he has proven to be a sucessful nascar race car driver. He is great in the road courses too considering that formula 1 is all road course races. He can be known worldwide if he decided to join F1. What do you think about this?

One of the biggest reasons I like Formula 1 better than NASCAR is that I don’t have to watch all those cars go around in an oval track and there are right turns.

Is there any skill involved, or is it just the car you drive. Have you ever actually watched a whole race.

Formula 1 is more of a sport then NASCAR, and there is a bit of skill in the turns and stuff, but they are still both just based on the car you drive.
Thanks for the nice answers, I think it involves a bit more skill now. Do you consider the drivers athletes.

i feel that professional auto racing ,including nascar ,should be bbanned due the inherent risks involved in the sport. each year a handful of drivers are killed in the us and around the world. this can be prevented. also motor racing encourages young people to drive faser than they ordinarily would.

I’m from another country, been living in Johnson City for 1 year and got hooked on NASCAR. Which terrace is the best to watch a race at Bristol Motor Speedway that is not so expensive. Of course i’m excluding suites and the very pricy seats.

Would also like to know what is the best way to get there, because I know it’s so crowded that it’s impossible to drive or to find a parking space. Are there any “buses” or transportation that may take you to and from the race?

F1: Rene Arnoux vs. Gilles Villeneuve: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3txjm9ty… or a shorter video with good commentary because Murry actually makes this seem boring(well thats impossible but he does a **** job and doesnt capture the excitement at all) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr_6ma8q2…

Champ car: Zanardi vs Herta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbthxgthb…

NASCAR: Craven vs. Kurt Busch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xv7haz-75…

IRL: Hornish vs. Dixon vs. Herta. vs. Sheckter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2rumyqg_…

I gotta say its the F1 one for me by quite a distance followed by the IRL. Because that is phenomonally brave stuff 3 wide, with open wheels at those speeds. Crazy. Surely the NASCAR fans cant say that isnt real cool…

I know the pole position gets points towards the Nextel cup but how about second, or third, or top ten? If so how many?
